About Us

Virginia's Garden Guest Suite was the end result of a dream.
My husband Dennis and I first moved to Nashville from Indianapolis in 2003. We fell in love with Brown County and the people. When we bought our house in the town of Nashville in 2004, we discovered that it had been owned by the same family for over 50 years. Bunt and Vida Petro added on a room to their house so that Bunt could cut hair and talk to friends and neighbors.
We have enjoyed meeting local residents who remember this family
and have their own stories to share.

We have turned Bunt's barbershop into a guest suite where visitors can stay and enjoy all that Brown County has to offer. The courtyard, full of flowers and trees planted by Vida, reminded me of the many colorful quilts made by my mother, Virginia Godfrey. We decided to name our guest suite after my Mom, an artist who created so many wonderful memories of our family before she passed away.

We hope that all of our guests are able to have their own unique experiences and enjoy the wonderful feeling of nature that is Brown County, Indiana.
